Customer Review: Horribly Addictive

If you've read any of my previous reviews (and I have no idea why you would have) you know that I traded in my 360 to get a PS3 due to the lack of time I was playing games.
I bough Oblivion about a year ago for my 360, and just couldn't get into it. I thought it was "lame". I was probably just overwhelmed, but I digress. So about a week ago I decided to give it a go on the PS3, I don't know why, I just did. And I must say, this is the best game I've ever played (not counting NHL 94).
The world is HUGE, the game is completely interactive, and the depth is beyond anything I've ever experienced in a game.
So, with just over a week of owning the game, I've logged about 40 hours of game play. This game makes me want to play games again. My only fear now is that every game I play in the future will be unfairly compared to this masterpiece.

Pros:
Beautiful graphics
Huge, Open-ended game play
Hours of game play

Cons:
Sometimes there are slow loads (if someone knows how to clear the cache on the PS3 like the 360, please inform)
Horribly addictive

Customer Review: Leveling trick????

I just bought this for my PS3 after playing it on the pc. On the PC I discovered a trick that seemed to keep the other creatures from leveling up with you. It could have been a side effect of some of the mods I was using, but so far I think its starting to work on the PS3 as well. Just don't sleep, creatures level up when you sleep! Sleep a few times to increase your strength so you can carry more stuff, but then stop sleeping completely. Your blade, magic, block, armour etc. skills will keep increasing as you use them, making battles easier and easier. Then much later, I did catch up on my sleep, slept about 20 times in a row at once, leveling up each time, and found that after sleeping I still had the same advantage over other creatures! I haven't played my PS3 version to know for certain this works on it also...

Customer Review: Boring and Buggy

The game looks OK and it does have a lof of options, but the bugs drive me nuts and overall I find it kind of boring. I stopped playing after a week or so. My 9 year old son hates this game too.

When I start the game up, I go to a sceen informing me not to turn off the system when it's writing to the hard drive, like every other game. For some reason, with this game I can get stuck on this screen for over a minute. I press X and nothing happens.

I'm not a huge fan of role playing games. Every few years I buy a game with a good review and then after playing I remember why I don't like games like this. It's because you do a lot of moving around and not much else.

Customer Review: A Masterpiece

This is probably the best RPG I have played and maybe will ever play. Even without the expansion packs, it is incredible. It blows my mind to think of all the possibilities of this game. The fun almost never ends. I played with my first character for about 70+ hours combined and I am still not close to finishing. I even created a new character that I am taking in a different path. I still switch playing between the two of them. Even if you might think the missions are boring, it is always fun to just explore the expansive world that this game has. I would also highly recommend investing in the full strategy guide. It reveals so many fun and exciting secrets to go explore when you aren't sure what to do. The gameplay is brilliant and it is pretty easy to control everything once you get the hang of it. For the price it is now, this game is a must buy.
