Video Game Reviews of Burnout Paradise

Customer Review: "Burn out"
Summary: 4 Stars

Burn out paradise besides the roaming part this game is awesome just make sure you dont go on the train tracks or it will take you a while to get back on the road even though its kinda enjoyable cause there is small jumps you can do on the train track.

I like the new additions which is the stunt run and marked man. You also get unlocked cars by doing races and so on but you have to chase them and take them down that was the fun part.

The music is pretty cool and it is a nice selection. There is one thing i do miss from previous burn outs just the fact that you dont have two player racing and being able destroy vehicles and everything else in town to compete for cash for me was kind of a downer but everything else is way Awesome. Overall i give this game a five star for its awesomeness in game play graphics and for just being burnout.

Customer Review: Very unreal...
Summary: 2 Stars

What I don't liked about the game was that you're in an unreal city. I like Gran Turismo cause you compete on real locations. The other thing I didn't like is that you've to use many unrealistic things like the turbo function in order to win and not your real skill as a pilot.

Customer Review: Very good
Summary: 5 Stars

Very good game, love the card and speed and everything. But gets boring after you completed everything.

Customer Review: Very fun racing game...
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very addictive racing game. If you want a very realistic driving simulation this may not be for you. The fraction of a second inattention resulting in a high speed crash while you're looking at a map or something IS very realistic. Just as in real-life your results in a high speed race are going to be much better if you are intimately familiar with the roads you're travelling. Unlike most racing games, in this one you have to pick your own route from the start point to the ending point. At times this left me hopelessly headed down a street that did not connect well with my ultimate destination. There is an automatic "suggested" route navigator but I often found "easier" / faster way to get there by studying the map and deciding the route on my own. I like the way you can start a race from almost any intersection in the expansive map. (What I did not like is that even though all the races end at one of 8 locations I had trouble finding these on the map when not actually involved in a race.) Getting familiar with basic routes across town is bound to pay off.. (Attempting to set time records while traversing these makes becoming familiar with the roads, streets, and freeways more entertaining.) I kind of like being able to "fix" any car just by driving through a repair shop without having to worry about running out of money or building up enough to improve your ride.
One of my favorite aspects of this game is being able to tap into my own music library for the music while playing the game and having it integrated with the car "radio." Pretty cool. So far one the most enjoyable and addictive games I've tried on the PS3.

Customer Review: Not as expected
Summary: 3 Stars

Although it's still a cool game in other ways, it's not what you would expect of a "burnout" game. You're running around alone in the city and of course there are other vehicles on the road but they are not after you. You're just chasing time or unlocking hidden things... It's not what I like most bout burnout, which is the racing and beating up other cars that are trying to beat you too.
