Sure, it usually voids your warranty, (if there even is one,) but there's not really a reason to buy this stick if you aren't going to mod it. The stock PCB is great, and it's a solid case. Plenty of space on the inside to fit your LEDs or extras.
I'd buy another one just to mod it again. It's awesome that the stick works for PS2 as well as PS3.
