In my opinion Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe is the best fighting game released this year. I haven't played Tekken 6 but in xbox magazine Soul calibur 4 won this award but mk kicks their tail.Customer Review: Everything you would expect and a bit more.

I got this game so when my family came in town we could all play it. Let's put it this way, this game is so fun my mom and dad played it! It is everything you could expect from a game title such as this and more. Top notch graphics and replay value. It is easy to lean the moves for all the characters however mastering the combos is something all in its own. That certainly also adds to the replay..like poker easy to learn..hard to master. I bought this game expecting a less than perfect Mortal Kombat game, but I was pleased to find out that I was wrong. I found this game to be very well designed and having fantastic graphics and sound quality as well. Although the fatalities have been watered down to get a T for Teen rating the game still has the old Mortal Kombat series style and is a great fighter. I recommend this MK game to any MK fan and to new comers to MK as well.Customer Review: Great Game!

There was so much bad rep about this game that it made me concern at first. But being a big fan of fighting games especially the original mortal kombat series, and the games of the like such as marvel vs capcom, I really didnt believe that this game would be too bad and I wasn't disappointed.
The story mode wasn't that great and it seemed like they didn't spend a whole lot of time trying to develop a story out of it but I don't really think anyone will buy a game like this for story mode. You buy it to challenge other players. There is no lag in the multiplayer as I have experienced with other PS3 games other than a occasional disconnection and for the most part, all the classes are quite fair with the exception of Scorpion in which is absolutely unstoppable if you know how to use him.
The fatalities are not as gory as we are used to seeing in the early mortal kombats and it would have been nice to have had more fatalities available to the players or even new fatalities for the old mortal kombat players (the mortal kombat side all use their old fatalities) but it is still a fun game overall. I did expect a bit more in terms of graphics wise from the game. All in all, this is a wonderful game that you can enjoy with all your friends and I believe it is one of the few games that is worth the price tag.
