Don't get me wrong this charger works. I would be happy with it if I didn't also have the Nyko charge base. The only real complaint I have about the Energizer is that you have to line up the controller to plug it in to the base.
With the Nyko you just drop it in. Again the Energizer charger works fine and you will probably be satisfied if you purchase it. Before you buy I would check out the Nyko. If there isn't much of a price difference you will probably be happier with it.

This was an impulse purchase but it has turned out to be a good one.
It's attractive, has nice indicator glow lights and feels pretty well made.
The only issue is plugging in the controller. It can be a little tricky since the USB port is so small. But after a bit you learn how to align it well enough to slide them right in.

I was looking for a way to charge my game pads without hooking them up to the PS3. The Playstation 3 Energizer Power & Play Charging System solved that problem for me. It really works great and holds the game pads in place nice and secure. I like the red and green light when you put the game pads in to tell you if it is charged (green light) or if it is charging (red light), plus it looks really cool and the design fits with the PS3 design. I would recommend this to anyone with a PS3. Customer Review: Excellent charger

This thing was quite a nice surprise. It looks cool sitting next to my PS3 and doubles as a controller holder. It's certainly easier than attaching the USB cables and leaving the PS3 to charge the controllers
My only negatives are:
The controllers don't always attach with ease (probably has more to do with the mini-usb connector that the charger)
The $29.99 price tag is a tad steep for just a charger (I was fortunate to nab this on sale for $19)

I received this item a few days ago, and have been testing it out since the time I unpacked it.
1) The controllers have no problems charging at this station. It's so simple to use: You plug in the controller, the indicator light around the controller on the station goes red, the controller is charging. When it's done, it goes green, it's ready to use. I found that one of the most interesting features of this station.
2) Almost everything that has a USB charging attachment has charged at this station. I've plugged up my LG enV Touch to it (since it has a USB attachment that came with it), and it charges it without conflict. My USB headsets also fit right into the controller charging ports (They are the older model Motorola H500 and H550), and it charges them as well. haha....I even tried charging my old Motorola Razor, and it worked!
The only item that it hasn't wanted to charge yet is my 2nd Gen Ipod Touch, but oh well...not a big issue.
In all, I am very happy to have purchased this item. I love its features, how simple it is to use, and how many chords it saves me from using.
