Customer Review: Sweet
Summary: 5 Stars

Ps3 is the best console out there.
Xbox 360 is good.
wii sucks and it's pretty boring after a while.
so buy s ps3 or a xbox 360 and you will be happy but not the wii you will regret it after a while(that happened to me).

Customer Review: Impressive so far, I like it.

I was getting a little worried with a lot of negative reviews I was reading about the PS3. So much so that at one point I actually considered a Wii. Thankfully I stuck with what I really wanted and though it's only been two weeks I'm loving this thing. Sure I wish there were more games out at launch but I know they're coming. Besides at $50-$60 a pop for games it's not like I have the cash to just buy a stack of games at one time anyway. I have Resistance, Madden '07, and Need for Speed: Carbon. I'm happy with what I'm seeing so far. I like the wireless controllers though like a little kid I sit close enough to the TV to use a wired one. The graphics and sound are awesome. I'm curious to see what game developers will come up with when they don't have a strict launch deadline to meet and can really use this machine to its potential. There are a lot more Blu-ray titles available than I thought so I'll pick up a few and test the player more. The unit does produce a lot of heat so that comment I'm sure you've read elsewhere is true. I haven't tried the online network so I can't comment on that. One thing I will note is that the operating software had to be updated before it would play a game so if you don't have a high speed internet connection forget about using it right out of the box. Overall I'm happy I took the plunge. One more point. I don't think you have to have a HDTV to use a PS3 but to really appreciate it you should use something other than a standard tube. I have a 42" Panasonic EDTV so it's not full high def but it can receive up to a 1080i signal and man it makes a difference. Wow.

Customer Review: gotta be a sony/ps lover
Summary: 3 Stars

for the price, lack of game selections and sparse network service, ps3 looks like another over-hyped piece of machine by sony. the game demos downloaded from the network played on 1080p monitor/tv look nice. however, the games don't look to be made using ps3's full potential in terms of details. another minor issue with the machine is loading time. it takes a long time to load games even through the hard drive. i would tell you to wait a year before jumping into the sony's next-gen, but then it won't be next-gen by then.

Customer Review: Dont be suckered
Summary: 5 Stars

For all you people who are paying more than the retail price for the PS3 what is wrong with you? Granted PS3 its new, in demand but come on. Give Sony the time and you will be able to do more with that extra 200.00+ dollars you are spending just to get this. Dont pay more than retail especially for a used system thats the best advise anyone can give. For you greedy people that are selling these systems for double, triple you need to downright ashamed of yourself of making money off of someone elses product but be warned once Sony catches up they are going to start legal sanctions which will prohibit people from selling the PS3 for more than retail value.

Customer Review: PS3 is awsome!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased a PS3 in November and as of right now I have had no problems with it whatsoever. The graphics on Resistance Fall of Man, Call of Duty 3, and NBA 2K7 are amazing. The other games are nothing to brag about, newer titles will flex the muscle of this machine a little more. The game play is smooth, no glitches at all. An excellent feature included is obviously the Blu ray player, hopefully it surpases HD DVD as many expect it to. Along with the Blu-ray player, Sony has incorporated the PS store where you can download demos of upcoming titles, a nice touch. One aspect of the PS3 I think is a little overrated would have to be the motion sensing Sixaxis controller. Only one game out has effectively used it and that would be COD 3. One swing of the wrist and you can knock out your enemy. Maybe in the future we will see developers expand on this feature. I do have one complaint with this system however and that would be the heat it generates, it's like a portable furnace. But overall I think it's evenly matched with the 360. Graphics are equally impressive, game play on both systems is smooth, and both systems generate a lot of heat. They're also the same price when you consider adding a HD DVD player to the 360 costs you an extra $199. So either way, 360 or PS3, it really doesn't matter which one you choose, you're going to get an excellent product. It all depends on exclusive games...and this day in age there aren't many.
