Customer Review: Not quite what I expected.

I have high standards for Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank series, and unfortunately I didn't really like this game. Underneath the great graphics and the massive explosions, it seemed sort of unimpressive. The storyline was deeper than it was before and I don't like that; I don't want to watch long emotional cutscenes, I just want to platform and shoot things. The music was very, VERY repetitive. The pirate theme got pretty annoying. What I really didn't like was the challenge mode. The weapons were way too cheap, you got way too many bolts and raritanium. And what are you supposed to use the raritanium for? The ending was like an ad for the next game. "Find out what happens only if you spend an insane amount of money on the next one!" The good things about this game was that it was pretty long, the robo-wings gave a lot of freedom, the clank sections were very much improved, and the graphics really were beautiful. The controls are easy to handle and I love the series, it just wasn't what I expected from Insomniac.Customer Review: Cool Game, Lots Of Fun

I have enjoyed this game. it's a lot of fun. my only complaint is that it's fairly short. I'm about 4 hours in and I'm more than half-way done. but I think the developers were counting on replayability, which it sort of has, if you want to upgrade all your weapons and get all the extras. still, I bought it used in good condition, I would recommend it as a "must-have" purchase.
also, some of the humour is pretty funny. you just have to play it to find out.

I have been playing the ratchet and clank games since they first came out on the ps2. I had played this game a little bit before when it first came out using a friend's ps3 but I had never finished it. As soon as I got my ps3 the first game I wanted was this so I could finally beat it. If you are a fan of the series then you should pick this up.Customer Review: Ratchet and Clank going at it again

Ratchet and Clank, games which first started by the makers of Spyro debuted on the ps2. Now as technology changed so did the graphics and the console. Moving to the PS3 was a mayor shock to the fans who couldnt afford the PS3. However as this game is made by Insomniac Games, they still got the magic that has worked with them for years. With insane graphics that do make it look like a Pixar movie, Ratchet and Clank give the new series a twist.
The gameplay is similar to the past and the camera follows you perfectly on the rails as you see the buildings and areas around you. The breathtaking surroundings will make you ignore the game for a while as you keep walking around.
With new weapons and the remake of a few old ones, they are extremely well done giving the player enough ways to just kill an enemy, especially while the enemy is dancing to the groove. (you'll see what I mean once you play it for a while).
Though to some it seems short, its a pretty long over the top game with amazing qualities that make it what it is. Ratchet and Clank has come back to kick up your arsenal. With amazing graphics, gameplay and repetitive desire to find all the secrets available to gain the most powerful gun, ratchet and clank will entertain everyone who has and hasn't played the series.

The game is great! There were a few glitches noticed during gameplay but nothing major. Unlike prior Ratchet & Clank games, you didn't have to wait until the end of the game for really good weapons. The RYNO IV is awesome and works well the second time around in Challange mode.
