Video Game Reviews of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of DestructionCustomer Review: The Lombax is back, and in hi-def Summary: 5 StarsThis might as well be the best game ever made with a bunch of weapons to buy, but you start out with two weapons. There are two enemies, the pirates and the cragmites (fish in a killing fish tank). On your journey, you will discover the mystery of the Lombax secret. The boss battles are simple, you can even glide in some levels and find secret places with gold bolts and rotanium. There are three vendors like weapons, gadgets, and armour to help you on your journey and the gadgets are kind of funny like the disco ball, leache boms and your body guard while the weapons are the same like ammo weapons, but theres a new one where you upgrade your weapons with rotanium.
Customer Review: Now this is fun Summary: 5 StarsIf you have never played a Rachet and Clank game, Just stop what your doing and order it. This series brings me back to when games were just fun. This game has it all, graphics, story, comedy, drama, etc.... Just buy this game it will make you smile and stay up way to late because you will loose track of time with this game. This reminds me of when games were about the fun and the story not how many pixels could be squeezed onto the screen, not that this game isn't pretty.
Customer Review: Gameplay is immersive and maybe too much fun. Summary: 5 StarsThe first night i sat down and fired up this game i knew from the get go this was a 5 star performance on Insomniac's part. Gameplay is fun and immersive to the point of almost making me late to work.
well done.

Customer Review: It's Ratchet and Clank Day! Summary: 5 StarsWhen Toshiba's HD-DVD went belly up, I found an excuse to buy a PS3 console. The Blu-Ray player was exactly what we needed to play High Definition DVDs and the price seemed reasonable for a Blu-Ray player game console combo at the time. We weren't playing the Wii much at all.
Along the way, I picked up Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction as a reference game to showcase the console. As a former RPG player, I also picked up Ultima IV, of course, and a racing game for good measure. Eventually there were some demo downloads from the PS Store and one or two other games (e.g., Little Big Planet). About a year later, Fridays at our house is known as "Ratchet and Clank day". Saturdays and Sunday mornings too once we make it past the scheduled activities, meals and outdoor play. There is no interest in playing anything but Ratchet.
What happens on Ratchet and Clank day? My four year old loads a saved game and proceeds to save the universe while my two year old watches. Dad jumps in to help occasionally. He started when he was just over three. For 3-4 months we played the first level about once a week never making it past the first few groups of robots. Something clicked eventually, perhaps in my head not his, and we discovered the depth of game play. We are now well on our way to finishing the game.
There was the problem of guns and killing since we don't do guns in our home. We call the weapons, "fire bubble machines". Thankfully there is no blood or gore. The bad guys all vanish in a puff of bolts. The gadgets are marvelous. Penguins, we love penguins! Let's turn the bad guys into penguins.
I have played a lot of games in 41 years. This may be the best of the lot.
