Video Game Reviews of BioShockCustomer Review: Great game, lacks multiplayer though Summary: 4 StarsI had alot of fun in Bioshock. The environments are very interesting, the enemies are smart and the weapons Oh the weapons are delightful to mess around with.
I heard alot of good reviews from friends about this game and it is a shooter but with a spin on it with the underwater world created by Dr. Ryan. Picture it as a ix between Resident Evil horror, the Abyss and a 1950's flashback. The game is alot of fun and the graphics are stunning even on the PS3 port from the xbox version.
Customer Review: Just About Unplayable Summary: 2 StarsNice graphics and sound, story held my interest, but about 4 levels into the game, it became extremely difficult to change the operative weapon. I would have to fool with it for several minutes to get the change selected. By that time I was killed of course. Sometimes you really need that change. Paid less than 20 for the game so it's not a huge loss, but there are too many games THAT WORK WELL out there to fool with this one any longer. Of course, that kills the chances of my wasting any money on Bioshock 2.
Customer Review: ...Would You Kindly? Summary: 5 StarsI was not sure what to expect when I bought BioShock. I saw the XBox360 version when it came out and thought it looked neat, but did not think much of it. I had no XBox and there was not a PS3 version at the time. When it was released for the PS3, I looked in to it a little more. The game certainly looked interesting. Creepy kids (Little sisters) and a robot thingies (Big Daddy) are always a plus in my book. I was a little worried about it being a 1st person shooter. I had never played one before, and I was sure I was going to suck at it. I forgot about it for a few weeks until a friend asked if I had ever played it. They were very insistent that I play it. I caved in and bought it.
The game blew me away. There IS a beginner mode for people who have never played a shooter before. That probably saved me a big headache. The controls take a bit of practice but are manageable. I had trouble remembering which changed ammo, which used the weapon, which used the plasmid, and which changed the plasmid. The controls cost me lots of health kits and EVE hypos before I finally figured it out. The gameplay is great. The levels are beautiful. Oh, so beautiful. The music is marvelous. The storyline is... a bit weird, but it is mostly explained toward the end. I would definitely recommend this game.
Customer Review: bioshock review Summary: 5 StarsBioshock is one of the best games i have played. It has a great story line, the graphics are good game play is awesome the weapons are crazy good and the game play actually makes sense with the story line. I recommend this game to anyone i give it 5 stars so if you have not purchased Bioshock i recommend you do.
Customer Review: A new classic Summary: 5 StarsA great game overall. Combining a first-person shooter with a little bit of puzzle solving is really great and makes of hours of gameplay that rarely gets stale. The graphics are really good and really creepy. Characters and storyline are well-developed and keep you involved the whole time. This game lives up to all of it's hype and then some. I do recommend taking the time to make sure your picture is adjusted well, because the game setting is very dark (underwater) so if your screen is not adjusted right, you may miss background details or potential power-ups, supplies, etc.
