A great game overall. Combining a first-person shooter with a little bit of puzzle solving is really great and makes of hours of gameplay that rarely gets stale. The graphics are really good and really creepy. Characters and storyline are well-developed and keep you involved the whole time. This game lives up to all of it's hype and then some. I do recommend taking the time to make sure your picture is adjusted well, because the game setting is very dark (underwater) so if your screen is not adjusted right, you may miss background details or potential power-ups, supplies, etc.Customer Review: Great story and great fun

I bought this game as a package deal from amazon, thinking it's just another first person shooter (FPS). But I was wrong. It has seamless gameplay as a fps, but its greatest strength was its incredibly involving storyline.
I'm a guy who loves items, shooters, and a good story, so when I played through this the first time, I explored everywhere in the game, and came away after 20+hours of gaming. I went through again after my first time with the help of a gamefaq and got the stuff I missed.
I highly enjoyed playing this game, which had great controls btw, and would recommend it to my friends who like playing Halo or Modern Warfare 1 & 2. I cannot wait for the sequel.

Why does no one put large print on these like they do for the ratings that explain the genre. On the description I saw no references to this and since I hate this games genre I wish they would have. Basically the same as all in this genre you don't get enough ammo, health etc. and you have to buy what you do get or find some. Also there are puzzles in finding your way through and I could not finish this game or even come close because I could not find a way out of the medical area. Sometimes there is an arrow that points the way and sometimes not. Don't know why it comes and goes. I would not have bought this game had I known of these issues. This is a really good game, it's eerie and the story is interesting and twisted at the same time. MetaCritic made it the top 10 PS3 game all-time and I have to agree. Those looking for a great first-person shooter with some substance will not be disappointed with this one.Customer Review: Amazing

Beautiful settings, filled with character. The story is a bit tough to follow because you pick it up in little pieces, but the game is fun, and even a bit scary at times. I'm not normally a fan of 1st person shooters, but this one hooked me.
