Video Game Reviews of Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Customer Review: The absolute pinnacle of gaming!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have to admit, Ninja Gaiden goes above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to your gaming experience.....

This game is an absolute treasure and masterpiece.... Nearly all aspects of this game are near perfect. A true experience, and a true testament to the fact that games can be more than the sum of their parts.....

You need Ninja Gaiden in your collection..... and I can say that the sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2, will probably be close to being as good as the original (counting Black, and Sigma)......

Continue the legacy and get into Ninja Gaiden today....

and don't let the tales of the difficulty fool you.... this game is NOT impossible..... you just need to take a small amount of time and LEARN a few special techniques...... the game is balanced VERY well, and very reasonable for ANYONE to play.....

Buy this game TODAY! It's never too late to enter the world of Ryu Hayabusa!!

Customer Review: Warning: Not For Casual Gamers
Summary: 3 Stars

Most people that like this game are gamers who are interested in a very challenging (which is sort of an understatement) game. In other words, this could quite possibly be one of the hardest games you've every played. So if you are inpatient, have anger issues, or stress out easily, then I'd suggest to skip this game. If on the other hand, you're interested in a challenge on an epic scale, then buy this game.

Casual gamers beware; rent it first.

Customer Review: Its fun but odd
Summary: 3 Stars

This game was fun in the begining becuase I thought it was a nijia game that took place in the 15th centry or whatever but when I got to the 3rd level it started takind place in 20th centry with flying ships, huge weird looking fat guys as bad guys and insted of old keys to open up doors like in the 1st level it had ID cards. But if your in to that kind of stuff then get the bloodly game. It s all rubish to me anyways.

Customer Review: Hack and slash, rinse and repeat
Summary: 3 Stars

I never played the XBOX version so I'm not going to try and compare the two.
Graphics: 7
That might seem harsh even by PS3 standards, but for me the game scenery, backgrounds, whatever, didn't blow me away. The character designs were well done, however.

Difficulty: 9

Some may disagree, but even on easy level this game can be challenging. The enemy's put up a good fight, which at times can be annoying. I'm not asking for a game where the enemy is a complete moron, but TECMO sure knows how to frustrate a game player.

Controls: 7

Overall the controls aren't bad, the only downside is the camera. It just plain bites.

Replay value: 0

I don't see any replay value, unless of course you like more hack and slash missions.

Customer Review: Hard... but not that hard.
Summary: 4 Stars

Much has been said about how difficult this game is. I am approximately half way through and can tell you that it is definitely hard, but not that hard.

It isn't so much that this game is hard... it is that other games are so easy. Let's face it, console games are pretty much dumbed down so that your average 12 year old can play them. To make it easier, many games allow you to save at pretty much any time.

This game makes you save at certain locations and it doesn't hold your hand and always point you in the right direction. In that respect, it is basically the same as most games were 15-20 years ago.

So rather than the constant focus on the difficulty of this game, perhaps eveyone's attention should be focused on why most other games are dumbed down so far that your average jungle monkey could play them.
